Photo report: Training of Irina Musuk and Victoria Hoogland "Effective self-presentation" in Amsterdam

How often do we get lost while making friends or giving interviews, lose the attention of our interlocutor and lose a potential friend, client or employer?

Participants of the Amsterdam interactive training on effective self-presentation, now know how to make the most of a chance meeting and attract the attention of an interlocutor in just 8 seconds.

Career coach Irina Musuk and writer and editor-in-chief of Media Loft Victoria Hoogland shared their experience, tips and supplied all the tools necessary to create a bright and concise self-presentation.

The event brought together about 30 people from a wide variety of fields: from lawyers and managers to psychologists and SMM specialists. Those who work for themselves, are freelance or are currently  in search of their  business path or suitable work.

During the 3.5 hour event, the participants:

• Talked about cultural differences and peculiarities in working with Europeans
• Had a fresh look at themselves and their skills
• Broke down the structure of an elevator pitch
• Stopped being shy about speaking about their  values
• Learned how to listen to an interlocutor carefully
• Created two concise and impressive self-presentations
• Learned what having  rapport is (and why it is sometimes more important than an elevator pitch).

Each participant of the training session left with two ready pitches and a lot of insights, but also with new contacts in their notebooks, among which there are probably already future friends, business partners or customers, some of them even had an idea for their own business.

After the practical part was over, many did not want to leave and continued socialising in an informal setting, sharing impressions and ideas.
