Product Manager

Reporting to the Product Management Manager, you will be managing your part of the micro and machinery drives product portfolio from both technical and business perspective for the Europe, Middle-East and Africa region.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conducting market analysis for identifying, understanding, quantifying and prioritizing application, customer and market requirements, for value proposition, for tracking global trends, and for unlocking new opportunities for ABB
  • Translating customer needs into technical specifications and representing the voice of the customer within our organization
  • Initiating and driving go to market strategy, such as regional product launches
  • Improving our products through continuous improvement process together with Technical Support, R&D and Quality Assurance
  • Providing support to Sales and Marketing teams and preparing technical and marketing material together with our product marketing and communication teams
  • Supporting product competence development in Sales, Marketing and Technical Support

Your background

  • Several years of experience in control and automation technologies - preferably in the field of motion or servo drive and/or motor technologies
  • Sound knowledge and proven understanding of different control solutions and typical applications in discrete manufacturing / automation and motion
  • Ability to translate customer requirements and insights into concrete product features
  • Demonstrated experience of product and portfolio management or sales in international B2B context is an advantage
  • Curious, passionate, resilient, genuine desire and can-do attitude when developing value to customers, delivering great customer experience, and solving our customer's problems
  • Successfully completed technical Master or Bachelor level studies - preferably in the field of control and automation technologies, electrical, power electronics or in other relevant discipline
  • Fluent English, excellent communication, influencing and networking skills, preferably paired with stakeholder management experience in a multi-layered global environment.
